Two Broken Things and 100 Words
Internet, my computer is brok-en. I don’t know how badly yet, since I need to wait until Monday to get it seen by a computer doc, but since it also failed about a month ago, I’m guessing this time could be the end. Right after I tried to wrestle my computer into submission, I stubbed my toe on a couple of hand-weights and I’m pretty sure I broke it. Purple, top and bottom, doesn’t seem to be the right color, and the pain is radiating through my whole foot, and right up my calf.
So, the round-up is going to have to wait until I get this sorted out. To keep you all going though, here’s the prompt for this week:

*PS - Not to force a decision on you or anything, but if you need to get a new computer, get one of the unibody aluminum macs… expensive, yes, but worth the money. Plus, the aluminum will stay cool enough to soothe that toe. Just sayin’.

LeGyare - My current, and very dead, laptop is a Macbook Pro. I’ve been a Mac user since 2002, and have loved the interface, etc. However, I am thoroughly disappointed and dismayed at how quickly my MBP degenerated. I’m not a gamer…so there should be no reason for it. Just over two years? For the money I paid? I have a bone to pick with Steve Jobs. I’ll be doing research into the latest MBP and its performance. Have the fixed the problems of them running hot and frying up hard drives in record time?
I would kiss your toe and make it better, if I could. That said, I understand the new MacBook Pro’s are much better on battery and much more durable. I love my MacBook Pro. Her name is Luscious and she is gorgeous. her soft and buttery keyboard is the best and most responsive keyboard experience I have ever had.
Good to know I posted the Examine link. Wasn’t sure when I thought about it. Can’t give you any advice on find a new ‘puter, I’m pretty happy with my Vista run laptop. Once we agreed with each other about the process for turning it off and closing it up, we were good.
Is your computer being on the fritz the reason why your NaNoWriMo word count hasn’t gone up? Just saying…..I’m about half way there. It’s been a fight these last few days, but I’m muddling through!
My head is bowed, since I suspect your computer has gone to meet the Great Chipmaker in the Sky. I hope your toe is faring better.

Hi all,
100 Word round up will be up later tonight. Just an update, I got my hard drive replaced and we all thought that was the problem. Turns out the Mac is still acting strange, so I have to bring it back in. Not sure how long I’ll be without a computer this time, but I’m still here!
The toe is doing much better, thanks Patsy for inquiring. Just a little itchy now and then, and I wear a special shoe to keep from re-injuring while it heals.
