Mr. Linky Does Not Love Me

100 Worders, I’m having problems with the Mr. Linky software.  The only one I could get to work was one that opened a new window and I don’t like that.  Getting help and hoping to resolve soon.  In the meantime, you can get started on the next challenge which is

Pillar

I’m on the road today so you definitely won’t hear from me until at least tomorrow.

Oh, this is too obvious, but here it goes, anyway.

Ahem … Being a pillar of this here community of 100 Word Challenge contributors .. I’ll get on that right away.

If Mr. Linky gives you too much trouble, I think you could set up NoteTab so you could write a post and ‘grab’ and automatically include links pretty easily. If you aren’t good at writing macros (NoteTab calls them “Clips”, I could probably write one if I knew your workflow.

If Lou’s the pillar, who’s the cornerstone?

I’m sorry, I can’t help you much with Mr. Linky :-(

I had a great time with this, new exactly what to write from the start.

Linky can, indeed, be a pain, but once you’ve got it, it’s there (possibly forever).

When the Tour Manager gets back on Sunday, he might be able to guide you. If he’s managed to get any sleep; I’m betting no.

Anyway, here’s my effort this week.

Not ‘the’ pillar. ‘A’ pillar. And my humble effort is here.

Okay, so he’s just “A” pillar—I still want to know who is the cornerstone? I would figure at least for this exercise, it would be VV! :-)

This week’s entry seems to be playing off of last week’s. I don’t know if I hit the mark as well. After yesterday, I’m spent!

    Enjoy!

It’s funny; this week’s entry gave me a bit of trouble at first. Pillar? What could I write about a pillar, in 100 words? Then, all of a sudden it came to me. I wrote this in 45 minutes, and had a lot of fun with it. Thanks! Hope Mr. Linky will start behving…

Hello again! I wrote this one, and then realized I could have built off of the one I wrote last week. But now it is late and I am tired and this one will just have to do. :)

Hi guys! I’m in a remote location where I’ve not had internet access until this moment. Was at Boscobel last night, which I’ll post about, and for now will just say was the most enchanting, wonderful set up for a Shakespeare play as I’ve ever seen.

I didn’t get anywhere with Mr. Linky and I may need help because it takes hours at this point to do a 100 Word post and it’s rare that I have a stretch of time free that affords that necessary time. I’ll be back home tomorrow and am planning to spend the evening figuring it out AND posting the last two entries. Whew!

I can’t wait to tell you about Boscobel and post some photos.

If you need help with Linky, drop me an e-mail. The Tour Manager is home (I will be going out soon for a bit) and can help. I hope.

Oh, and he did manage to sleep at camp. Sort of.

I hope I’m not too late…again. I check for the link to see new challenges, so…almost missed it.

Are you okay? Do you need help? How can I help?

  18. thenightblog August 5th, 2008 11:40 pm

Perhaps the creative juices aren’t flowing

  19. Mr Lady August 7th, 2008 7:25 am

Oh, I’m glad you’re not ready, because that one took me FOREVER.

I found you from Mr. Lady’s efforts on Whiskey in My Sippy Cup. Sounds like fun!

OK, I was late but I just saw that this exists and had to write about my most recent Pillar experience. I mean, come on… Pillars are a crucial asset to Ninjas:

Shooting from column to row, clad in the absence of light, I leap and crawl through the fortress of the Infinite. The reason is a mystery even to me but I must continue down the never ending corridor of pillars, further into the darkness. The only indication of progress is the decaying light from whence I came. Soon, every direction looks the same and soon, like the light vanishing behind the vast colonnade, my mind becomes dark and uncertain. Now, in a moment of vertigo, I know my purpose. Squatting in utter darkness, lacking direction, I meditate in peace.

Add me to the voices who are concerned about you…

  23. Velvet Verbosity August 9th, 2008 4:04 am

If you are concerned about me, wondering where I am…I am at a camp in Vermont where I thought I was going to have WiFi…but it is not working. I’m commenting from a public computer that I only have a few minutes access to. I assure you I’m alive and well and having more fun than I’ve had since last year this time. I miss you all, but technology is not cooperating. I’ll be back home after this weekend.

    Internet love to you all.

  24. the Wandering Author August 9th, 2008 5:05 pm

I was concerned until I read your comment above. Now I’m envious. :) A camp in Vermont. Of course you’re having fun! Is it by any chance near Guildhall? :D

  25. Allison August 10th, 2008 9:19 pm

On vacation myself, but have internet access. Other than checking the bank account and my email, I try not to get on much :-)
