Because She’s A Teenager, That’s Why
There’s a little morning ritual that my daughter likes to go through. It’s called “Not Getting Up if My Life Depended On it”. This morning, I wake her up several times, each time my assertions getting firmer and louder. Finally, she throws off the covers, pops out of the bed and brushes past me heading for the bathroom. I smile a little victory smile and go back to my room to get dressed for the day.
Several minutes into my morning prep, I realize something doesn’t feel right. Things are too…still. Too quiet.
I knock on the bathroom door. No answer. I knock again, still with no answer. There is not a sound coming from behind that bathroom door. Could it be…? I open the door and right there, on the floor, is the Mad Sister curled up on the bathroom rug! And because she’s a teenager, she is actually PUT OUT when I wake her up.

That’s the thing about having had sons .. they were easy to get out of bed once you realized that all you had to do was mention ‘food’. Especially, french toast (or freedom toast, depending on your love, or lack thereof, for the French) or McDonald’s pancakes.
You could always take a picture of her sleeping on the bathroom floor and post it as her profile pic on myspace and facebook! Since you dont have internet right now, it might take her 1/2 a day or even a full day before she finds out! MWAH HAHAHAHAHAHA! Now that is some good inspiration to wake up in the morning! *grin*
Lceel, I wonder if that might work with her actually. Never occurred to me that enticing her with food might get her up. I’ll give that a try
Larmster, I know that’s you even though you’re impersonating wordpress. That would be funny, but I’m not sure it would motivate her to get up and go face her friends at school!
