Insight from a Boy…er, I mean…Man
Are guys just jerks led around by their genitalia? Are strong women just bitches?
Yes. No. Neither. Both. Crikey, I don’t have the answer people!
But I did find this insightful post from a guy’s perspective. Touches on why men sometimes behave badly towards women, how some men do still want the dumbed down version, and illuminates why we women need to continue to be smart and whole, and all of that, but also why it wouldn’t hurt to be a little bit soft and a little bit nice.

I like this guys perspective …
the skinny is that women have to be stand-offish (stuck-up?)
and men have to be forward (jerks?)
it is almost genetic
the crazy thing is that any of this works at all - this bizarre mating ritual
or maybe not - there are subterranean biological forces at work that will out
o and blogger has indiscriminately changed me from the more formal John, to my more familiar Jack … for reasons that mystify
For myself, I’m generally stand offish at first unless the first point of contact is actually an interesting conversation. Women like to feel attractive, of course, but not at the expense of being viewed as just a body.
It is complicated, the mating ritual, and seems to cause more grief than it’s worth much of the time.
(sigh)
